The City of Boston Small Business Center (SBC) serves as a front-door resource to small businesses and entrepreneurs. By providing direct business assistance and connecting businesses to Business Support Organizations, we build the capacity of business owners and entrepreneurs to successfully start, run, and grow their businesses in Boston.

Tech Goes Home Small Business targets micro business owners who serve low income neighborhoods and have minimal or no technology skills or access. We offer small business owners 15 hours of free, hands-on technology and Internet resource instruction via qualified trainers from the community. Participants learn to use technology to: Organize- Use online City resources to manage finances, licensing, and permits; Market- Engage new and existing customers via websites and social media; Sell- Manage mobile and online purchases and accept credit card payments. Upon program completion, participants can purchase a new device for $50.
