Spearheaded by the Mayor’s Office and with non-profit, corporate, and community partners, the Coalition has provided low- and moderate-income taxpayers with free financial services since 2001. From January to April, it provides free tax preparation at 28 volunteer-staffed locations around Boston. The Coalition also now offers a year-round financial coaching program that directly involves volunteers in promoting economic empowerment in Boston communities.
