Internationally acclaimed Israeli chef Uri Jeremias (affectionately nicknamed Chef Uri Buri) is known in Israel as “the white-bearded prophet of fish and seafood,” and his restaurant in the 4,000 year old UNESCO World Heritage site of Akko was named Trip Advisor’s top choice in 2016 for fine dining in the Middle East. He is traveling to Boston specifically to host this special one-time-only cooking demonstration and multi-course seated dinner as a fundraiser for NECAT!

Chef Uri’s specialty is Mediterranean Cuisine and he is widely recognized for serving the most exquisite fish in the region, touted for its layers of flavor and texture. This event will feature a fun and interactive cooking demonstration, followed by a dinner of Uri’s most popular dishes. A sampling of menu items include:

Sea bass in a butter, sage, lemon sauce with cauliflower puree
Mediterranean shrimp in olive oil, garlic, chili peppers and lemon
Seared tuna is an herb yogurt sauce
Muhadara Arabic lentils with rice and carmalized onions
Tobiko (flying fish roe) stuffed persimmons
Ceviche of fresh, local fish
Grilled eggplant bruschetta

A limited number of tickets are available for $150 per person, with all event proceeds supporting NECAT’s vital Culinary Arts Job Training Program.  Please contact Ashley Bartell at for more information about tickets and sponsorship opportunities.
