The Mayor’s Office of Workforce Development was one of five organizations nationwide selected by Third Sector Capital Partners to receive an individualized feasibility study for implementing Pay for Success (PFS) contracts with youth programs. The OWD will use this technical support, funded by a $200,000 federal Social Innovation Fund grant, to examine the viability of using PFS contracts with Boston’s Summer Youth Employment Program. By linking government funds to measurable performance outcomes, PFS contracts are designed to increase government accountability while simultaneously attracting more funders for high-performing programs.
