The Mayor’s Office of Workforce Development is collaborating with the Mayor’s Office of Economic Development (OED) to create a new Restaurant Revitalization Fund to assist local restaurants in their reopening and recovery from COVID-19. The fund will provide these businesses with:
- Grants to ease operating expenses or increase payroll
- Employee retention incentives, including bonuses and tuition assistance for college or training programs
- Marketing campaign to promote the restaurants as responsible employers and attract qualified candidates
Restaurant owners can visit boston.gov/small-business for more information and eligibility criteria. The online application will be available starting Wednesday, September 1, 2021 on boston.gov/small-business in English, Spanish, and nine additional languages.
