The Mayor’s Office of Workforce Development is collaborating with the Mayor’s Office of Economic Development (OED) to create a new Restaurant Revitalization Fund to assist local restaurants in their reopening and recovery from COVID-19. The fund will provide these businesses with:

  • Grants to ease operating expenses or increase payroll
  • Employee retention incentives, including bonuses and tuition assistance for college or training programs
  • Marketing campaign to promote the restaurants as responsible employers and attract qualified candidates

Restaurant owners can visit for more information and eligibility criteria. The online application will be available starting Wednesday, September 1, 2021 on in English, Spanish, and nine additional languages.
